From 1–6 August, five cadets from 1051 (Dartford) Squadron took part in Exercise Eagle Gauntlet, a summer camp designed to give cadets the opportunity to develop their skills and progress through the RAF Air Cadets’ Progressive Training Syllabus (PTS).
Throughout the camp, cadets took part in a busy programme of training across a range of disciplines, working towards qualifications and badges from Blue through to Silver level.
The six-day camp proved hugely successful, with more than 350 badges and qualifications achieved and awarded across all those attending. Our five Dartford cadets made the most of the opportunities available, returning to the Squadron with more than 10 badges between them.
Eagle Gauntlet provided a valuable opportunity for the cadets to build on their existing knowledge, develop new skills and gain qualifications beyond those normally available during regular Squadron training.
A tremendous amount of effort went into the week, both from the cadets undertaking the training and the staff responsible for delivering such an extensive programme.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Flt Lt Pak, the team at 173 (Orpington) Squadron, and all of the supporting staff who gave their time to organise and deliver the camp.
Congratulations to our five cadets on a fantastic week of training and another impressive haul of qualifications for #Team1051.
