Venture Adventure with Team 1051

We hold three Open Evenings each year, typically in February, May and September, for young people aged 12½ (or in Year 8, whichever comes first) up to 16 years old who are interested in joining the RAF Air Cadets.

Our Open Evenings are designed to give prospective cadets and their parents or guardians an insight into life at 1051 (Dartford) Squadron. The evening includes a short presentation covering who we are, what we do, and the exciting opportunities available through the RAF Air Cadets, followed by a guided tour of the Squadron led by our current cadets.

How to Join

To ensure all new cadets receive a structured introduction to the Squadron, we only accept new recruits through our scheduled Open Evenings and recruitment intakes.

The only exception is for existing RAF Air Cadets wishing to transfer from another squadron. If you are considering a transfer, please speak with your current Officer Commanding to discuss your circumstances and initiate the transfer process.
